What is clear, is that our Founding Fathers unanimously stated:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness- That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed...”-Preamble to the Declaration of Independence, which set the tone for a form of Government that in recognizing the inherent equal Dignity of every beloved son or daughter of a human person from the moment of Creation, which is at the moment of conception, recognized that when it comes to our inherent Unalienable Right to Life, to Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness, The State and Church exist in a complementary relationship, and not in opposition to one another.
We can know through both Faith and reason, rightly ordered, that when “God is denied, human Dignity disappears.”-Pope Benedict XVI Christmas Address 2012.
And when human Dignity disappears, anything can become permissible, including the destruction of a beloved son or daughter residing in their mother’s womb.
