Pete,

22nd Amendment limits president to two terms. Since Obama has served two terms he's ineligible to run again, ergo he can't be fired. Wasserman is making the point that Trump's campaign slogan is nonsensical.

Of course, all campaign slogans are nonsensical--even Obama's iconic "Forward." In addition, "I like Ike" doesn't mean anything, and "All the way with JFK" no doubt took on a double entendre meaning for several women.

So, I reckon we just get to add this to the list. But pointing out nonsensical presidential slogans isn't that fun of a game, because it's much too easy.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't understand but to be fair think perhaps they are talking about the general IDEA of Obama & not electing his first Secretary of state, who is running on continuing his policies.

I am unsure as to what you mean regarding the 22nd Amendment. I do feel that Trump, as well as most of the other candidates, have little or no understanding of the Constitution as a whole by claiming to use their power as President to make a number of changes to the country. I always believed and understood that the Congress makes the laws and the Executive branch upholds them. Not the other way around.
