Kopald on health problems from WiFi
Deborah Kopald has a post at Public Citizen's Consumer Law and Policy Blog, discussing health problems associated with WiFi, namely showings of Microwave Sickness by people living/working/going to school too close to wireless hotspots. Worth a read, as she has been pushing this issue for some time.

I believe that number of questions as to why this abomination of technology is being rolled out has already been answered in the comments. Apparent disastrous effects on fertility, in my opinion are stealthy inclusion of Georgia Guidestones first line of text. May 2016 study http://www.powerwatch.org.uk/library/downloads/rf-emfs-4-reproduction-2016-05.pdf.
By the time most people realise what is going on (especially as brad-trolls rear their ugly heads up and try to confuse gullible) it will be too late. Damage is cumulative and in case of DNA - irreversible.
Another reason is profiling of the population so that powers that be ( or rather their masters) know what and when you are doing.
I live in UK and have had "smart" meter fitted last year (Oct. 2015)
I have become very ill since and so have several of my neighbours (I live in a block of flats). Unfortunately, those who are not affected (more likely they do not realise it or they are to brainwashed to admit it) are calling us , yes, you guessed it, conspiracy theorist.

David, I took Brad's advice and tried to find out who he is--no information available from what I can find, not even a full name.
On the other hand, when I clicked on your name and went to your website, I found links to numerous peer-reviewed studies as well as expert opinions, letters and testimonies. I feel certain that if most parents, teachers and administrators understood the information on your site and had access to the scientists that you have met, there would be no wireless devices or routers in schools and no cell towers on school campuses. It is unfortunate to note, but I believe you will come out on the right side of this issue in the future. Unfortunate because many unsuspecting, well-intending people will have been adversely affected. Industry and government are doing their best to hide this information from the public--Why?
Why is the government massively rolling out wifi in schools while the FCC is reviewing their exposure guidelines, while important lawsuits regarding cell phones and brain tumors are going forward in court and still undecided, when the President's own Cancer Panel of 2009 recommended specifically against WiFi in schools? It doesn't make good sense if you really think about it.
Why do Educators and School Administrators refuse to acknowledge the Science--despite the tenets of the Scientific Method which they teach to our children, despite their own mission statements to provide a safe learning environment? What makes this physical agent so different from pesticides or other hazardous exposures in school that have been identified, addressed and removed? For whatever reason, the System of Educators refuses to recognize that this particular agent, microwave radiation, is hazardous to living things, including their charges, our Children. I find it baffling. Surely, the subject matter can not be beyond all of their grasps, some of them do have backgrounds in Science and Health. The Education System insists on deploying microwave emitting devices school and encouraging all children, our most precious children, to bring their own such devices to school in spite of the growing list of expert and governmental objections to WiFi in school listed by David above. One would think the schools would be seeking to educate our children about the hazards of wireless exposure as they do with other health issues: drugs, sexually transmitted diseases, exercise, diet, hygiene, etc. But, no, somehow, indiscriminate microwave exposure is encouraged and compulsory at school. Lawyers, please note: "COMPULSORY" at school.
There is also ample emerging evidence that people engaged in computer-based learning do not process or retain information as well as those who learn with pen, paper, lectures and books. Some studies: Sana, Mangen, Wood, Mueller...Surely our Educators should be aware. So why the rush to WiFi? Why are Administrators, Teachers and Parents so reluctant to question the purported benefits and necessity of everything digital, even at the expense of their own health and their children? Why are administrators so afraid to speak on the record about the Health? Have they been advised by their lawyers not to do so?
One by one, people like David, Virgina and Nancy and Desiree and Deborah Kopald are doing the right thing, getting the message out, sometimes at great personal costs to themselves.
Thank you, David, and thank you all for taking a stand for our Children and for seeking to inform the uninformed public, usually against their will-- including our (intentionally) uneducated educators who are obligated to understand what they are doing to our children. By now, the hazards of intentionally exposing our young and growing Children to microwave radiation has been repeatedly called to their attentions.

Sounds like its ' DESPERATION TIME ' for the wireless industry!! Too many people have been harmed or killed, or have figured out that they are beginning to be harmed by this radiation. These U.S. citizens should not be ignored! The FCC Chair knows what's going on, yet, where is OBAMA and the leaders of this Country? Obama is allowing Tom Wheeler to lead him around like a puppy dog, with his tail between his legs!
People that post comments, and articles who are paid by billionaire's who have vested interests are pretending that this technology is safe, and are not credible participants in this CRITICAL national conversation!
The science IS in, and has been proven with abundant evidence! What needs to happen now is we need a President, and leaders within our federal government to ACT! We need to:
1. Protect our children in our schools, creating transmitter FREE Zones!
2, Educate people in the appropriate wireless device usage!
3. Create WIFI FREE ZONES ( NO WIFI! ) for our schools, and public areas!
4. Cell Phone FREE ZONES ( no cell phones for children!) Russia is requesting that cell phones are not available for anyone under 18 years of age. NO CHILD NEEDS A CELL PHONE - EVER!!!
5. NO WIRELESS GRID, OR SMART METERS!
6. NO DATA COLLECTION from smart grid/meters!
7, NO central offices that have the power to control how much radiation is put into a home!!!
8. Educate the public NOT TO PUT A CELL PHONE NEAR THEIR HEADS OR BODIES!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
THE TIME HAS COME
Sincerely,
Virginia

To Brad's comments, hopefully this won't be a partisan issue but one examined timely and soon. There are many scientific articles cited extensively on the Internet. One summative study written by a group of six doctors in Oregon, led by Paul Dart, M.D., published, in June 2013, contained their own 74-page review of 279 biomedical research publications. This review makes the health case against the installation of Wireless Smart Meters, explicitly. The review recommends that levels of RF radiation
must be lowered to protect public health, not raised by the installation of Wireless Smart Meters. This review is posted on the website of the Federal Communications Commission, at the link entitled "Health Effects of RF - Research Review (97)"

To Brad - I believe you need to reread the article on the pubcit blog and this time click on the links that are provided. As you follow these links take special note of the citing of science in the links and taking this one step further, by reading the links in those articles, you will continue to find supportive science. This may take time but you would be educated about the reason so many researchers, scientists, doctors and other nations are speaking out and informing the public and national leaders about the health problems with microwave electromagnetic radiation. You should also look at the excellent comments from some of the various organizations supporting her article. You will see she is not alone in her determination to inform the public about the known biological impact of microwave electromagnetic radiation.

There are some uninformed trolls, as usual, on this thread. They represent the men in the 4 trillion dollar suits and will leave no stone unturned in trying to deflect or shut down what has been known for over 60 years. That microwaves can harm or kill living cells. There are no less than a dozen sperm studies that show damage to dna and sperm motility.
If a troll is going to attack on content, once again they should become familiar with what is real and what is not. Otherwise, they just put another foot in their face.
Mind Control utilized by governments for a long long time. Copy and Paste the link above for the now declassified MK-Ultra United States mind control programs that were and still are (covertly) very much alive today.
The ambient microwave exposures in Russia are 100x's less than those of the U.S. What do they know that the U.S. is hiding from us??

nice try Brad, article you quote is written by Lorne Trottier an electronics billionaire who made his fortune from emf-emitting electronics who posts all over the internet saying EMFs are safe - 70% of non-industry funded science shows a problem- only 25% of industry-funded science does.
Lorne Trottier’s Financial Ties to the Wireless/Mobile Industries
Following the World Health Organization's classification of Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields (RF-EMF) as 2B Possible Carcinogen to Humans in 2011, this year the American Academy of Environmental Medicine, the Swiss Physicians' MfE, the Austrian Medical Association and the French Health Research Group led by a Nobel Prize-winning scientist have all issued public statements calling for precaution against wireless radiation and for the proper treatment of electrohypersensitive (EHS) patients.
In Quebec, however, things go backwards. Electronics tycoon Lorne Trottier has financed an "urban-
electro Brigade" to publicly deny the hazards of EMF and the validity of Electrohypersensitivity. Lorne (owner of Matrox) enlisted 60 academics, mostly from McGill University and École Polytechnique de Montréal to which he has donated tens of millions of dollars.
Lorne Trottier is a zealous critic of all the science that point to negative health effects of electromagnetic radiation. He has written numerous articles attacking scientists and scientific studies that do not support the “safety” of EMF/EMR which he promotes. His pro-EMF opinion is disseminated through his own website EMFandHealth.com, a host of “skeptic” websites which he is connected to. Even Amazon.com!
Iain Martel (Lorne Trottier's colleague at Centre for Inquiry Canada) wrote online, “Matrox makes graphics cards for computers, which has absolutely nothing to do with wi-fi or any other wireless device. Lorne Trottier has no ties to any manufacturer of wireless devices.”

Really?
McGill University states that its "OSS [Office for Science and Society]
interest and is supported solely by McGill University and the " http://www.mcgill.ca/oss/
Lorne Trottier Family Foundation... No “vested interest”...?
Really??
Through his business interest at MSBi Valorisation (now renamed iNovia Capital), a venture capital company heavily invested in start-ups of digital and wireless products and apps, Lorne Trottier is closely tied to the financial well-being of the wireless industries. His denial of the health risks of wireless technology bears a serious conflict of interest.

Brad, I would recommend carefully re-reading that allegedly "science based medicine blog" again for relevance and critical, unbiased coverage of the issue. Go to the primary sources instead of taking Foster and Trottier's word for it. So much is left out and the article is often misleading. You can find some of what is left out in Kopald's letter to Exeter. And then, you might wonder why Trottier and Foster left those facts out of their article.
Exposure from WiFi and wireless devices is relevant to cell phone exposure. Indeed, for a child especially, exposure from a laptop or tablet can exceed that of a cell phone and for longer periods of time.
The judge of ongoing cell phone litigation in the DC Superior Court recently said, "Federal law is the supreme law of the land, but there is no constitutional provision that says federal facts are the supreme facts of the land. [nor are trottier's and foster's or the blog you cite] Federal law can preempt state law, but it cannot preempt scientific fact. The scientific truth, whatever it may be, lies outside of the FCC’s regulations about what is “safe” or “unsafe.”
The Expert Preemption order basically says that the FCC standards are not enough to ensure that wireless technology is safe and therefore litigation in the states should be allowed to assess safety.
The Expert Order basically says that there is enough science and adequate experts to speak about that science to warrant bringing these cases forward and before a jury.
"If there is even a reasonable possibility that cell phone radiation is carcinogenic, the time for action in the public health and regulatory sectors is upon us. Even though the financial and social cost of restricting such devices would be significant, those costs pale in comparison to the cost in human lives from doing nothing, only to discover thirty or forty years from now that the early signs were pointing in the right direction." Judge Frederick H. Weisberg

To Brad-- The links to peer-reviewed studies are there. I quote Ms. Kopald: " “An Open Letter to Phillips Exeter Academy about Wi-Fi”, which I wrote to my alma mater, details the public health problem Wi-Fi has created and some legal ramifications of its use." The open letter is found by clicking on the text in Ms. Kopald's guest blog, or here: http://wirelessrighttoknow.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Exeter-WiFi.pdf Many references are cited and links provided, including links to government documents.
One of Ms. Kopald's references, the BioInitiative Report can be found here: http://www.bioinitiative.org/ The BioInitiative Report was updated in 2014 with about 1800 new studies. There are still more since then.
And here's one compelling reason why you and everyone else should care about microwave electromagnetic radiation as it pertains to the Children and Staff in our schools:
"The BioInitiative reports nervous system effects in 68% of studies on radiofrequency radiation (144 of 211 studies) in 2014. This has increased from 63% in 2012 (93 of 150 studies) in 2012. Genetic effects (damage to DNA) from radiofrequency radiation is reported in 65% (74 of 114 studies)."
Unfortunately, those in charge of protecting the health of our Children and the general public haven't looked much more closely than you have before claiming there is no evidence...

It looks to me that Brad has not even done a basic Google search for peer reviewed studies: One should always be able to back up an opinion that is based entirely on one's own magical thinking. Here are a few peer reviewed studies, some news stories and other information that should keep Brad quiet for a couple of years while he studies these:
I had hoped these would work as hot links however they will have to be googled and they will be easily found:

The effects of microwave radiation is not a political issue. It is a scientific fact that is harmful and dangerous to all biological beings. Apparently, industry trolls and their loved ones are somehow immune to its effects. The commenter fails to note that microwave radiation is a manmade frequency (therefore it can be stopped and safer methods can be employed where the wires are shielded), preferring to characterize those of us who are concerned enough to become public with our comments and actions, as "anti-scientific zealots."
The continuation of our species is already threatened as stated by Neuroscientist Olle Johannson nearly two years ago that due to the overwhelming number wireless transmissions, there will be "irreversible sterility within five generations" . . . 150 years in the future."
In addition, there are thousands of "peer-reviewed" studies - one of which is The BioInitiative Report 2012 www.bioinitiative.org. These pages on EMFWise feature a synopsis of the scientific papers, dates, authors, system affected by microwave radiation, and type of study conducted, http://www.emfwise.com/science.php.
Excerpts from Deborah Kopald’s (BA, Harvard; MBA, MIT Sloan School of Management) guest post to the PublicCitizen's, Consumer Law & Policy Blog on September 8, 2014. Ms. Kopald is an environmental health and public policy consultant and author who has developed and overseen the passage of legislative initiatives and has served as a guest expert at various media outlets. In 2013, she organized and moderated The Conference on Corporate Interference with Science and Health in New York City. [The conference proceedings were published in Reviews on Environmental Health.]

The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) in conjunction with the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (the United States Access Board) put out a report in 2005 that stated that for a building to be accessible, Wi-Fi should be avoided in favor of fiber optic connectivity; if used, Wi-Fi was to be confined by foil-backed drywall or equivalent barrier.

Re: Radiofrequency radiation (the following is in quotes)
PRESS RELEASE Dienstag, 15. April 2014
New 'Brennpunkt' by Diagnose-Funk:
"Group of Ukrainian scientists assesses available studies on ROS
Mobile phone radiation leads to oxidation in cells"
"The Ukrainian group of scientists around Igor Yakymenko at the Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology in Kiev consider it to be proven that mobile phone radiation leads to harmful oxidation processes in cells through the overproduction of free radicals. In the editorial " Low intensity radiofrequency radiation: a new oxidant for living cells" in the scientific journal "Oxidants and Antioxidants in Medical Science" of 29 March 2014 the group reported that of 80 studies, they had assessed, 92,5 % (= 76 studies) confirmed that mechanism of inflicting damage. "Unexpectedly, a strong non-thermal character of biological effects" had been documented, the group of scientists wrote. Low intensity radiofrequency radiation (RFR) emitted by mobile phone end-user devices "could lead to mutagenic effectsthrough expressive oxidative damage of DNA", because "the substantial overproduction of ROS in living cells under low intensity RFR exposure could cause a broad spectrum of health disorders and diseases, including cancer in humans".
"Oxidative stress is considered to be the main cause of exhaustion, headaches, inflammatory diseases, all the way to heart attacks. The results of the scientists from Kiev explain the acutely critical nature of the hype around mobile phones, smartphones and wifi. According to latest statistics, children and young people use mobile phone end-user devices near their bodies on average for more than 8 hours a day. Therefore, they are permanently exposed to potential damage.
These findings once again strip the German and international legal limits, based on the guidelines by ICNIRP, of their legitimacy. The legal limits are based on the denial of such non-thermal effects. These research results show, how - for the sake of profit - users are exposed to this radiation unprotected. The time of denial of non-thermal effects and the relativization of the current state of research in order to protect business interests must stop. Diagnose-Funk e.V. asks all scientists to confront public authorities with these study results, and to demand a change in favour of the precautionary principle."

I don't see any links to peer reviewed papers on this supposed deleterious health effects of wifi.
It's bad enough we have to deal with anti-scientific zealots on the right on the issue of global warming. Why does the left feel the need to compete with the pernicious anti-vax, anti-GMO, and now anti-radiofrequency movements?
