Religiously Affiliated Law Schools reception at the AALS hiring conference

For all those going to the hiring conference next month:

Touro Law Center will be hosting the annual reception of Religiously Affiliated Law Schools at the AALS Faculty Recruitment Conference in Washington, DC.  This year’s reception will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012, from 7:30 to 9:00, in the Hoover Room of the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.  All faculty candidates are invited to attend.

Thanks to Sam Levine (Touro) for the reminder!

Thanks, Rick. I'm interviewing with at least one of the RALS schools but having a hard time finding any finite list of all such schools (the link from the blog to an actual RALS site doesn't work). Maybe that's just because no finite list exists and religiously-affiliated schools will let candidates know if members of the hiring committee will be attending the event?

Hi Annie -- You can get some info about RALS here:
http://therals.blogspot.com/

I don't know about Touro's hiring plans, but the practice in recent years has been just to rotate the hosting duties through various RALS. It was Notre Dame before Touro, St. Thomas before that, and (I think) Pepperdine before that . . .

Touro is hosting the event at the hiring fair but not doing any entry-level hiring? Is there someplace we can find a list of the Religiously Affiliated Law Schools (assuming it's an official group)?
