The Autumnal First Amendment
Because summer is my least favorite season (swollen and slow), I am already looking forward to the arrival of the fresh and crisp beginning that is the fall. And as comes the autumn, so, too, arrive two exceptional First Amendment books: Paul Horwitz's First Amendment Institutions and Andy Koppelman's Defending American Religious Neutrality, both of which are listed as becoming available on the same date in November -- "Late roses filled with early snow," as the man said. Now I hope that Paul will explain those complicated interlocking circles.
