Cheney post taken down

I just learned that Mr. Whittington is not out of the clear yet (as first reports seem to indicate).  He suffered a minor heart attack.  I took my post down about the tort hypo, out of respect for Mr. Whittington's recovery.   We wish him a speedy recovery.

I fail to understand why one cannot speculate about all sorts of aspects of this case while Mr. Whittington is in the hospital.

If he dies--which could happen--are we forever prohibited? If not, then why is injury more serious than death?

I just don't get this. Chris Matthews is hammering away at this story right now, and the only person he might be accused of being disrespectful for is the Vice President, who, in my book, deserve no special treatment here.
