Tom Smith Is Funny . . . Again

I don't get why this is funny. Do you think that maybe, just maybe, someone good enough to make it to SCOTUS would also be memorable? Especially during a first year course when, IMHO, there's usually a lot of people who haven't gotten with the program yet?

I can tell you about my students from ten years ago, with relish. There are a few I can't remember all that well, but the ones with promise (or obviously without it), I'd still recognize if I ran into. I'd like to think that I still would be able to do so in another twenty years.
